Reddit Researcher ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Slack application.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Reddit Researcher, we collect:

• Slack Workspace Information: Workspace name, workspace ID, and installation details
• User Information: Slack user IDs to associate research with the requesting user
• Research Queries: Questions you ask and the Reddit searches performed
• Research Results: Reddit posts and comments collected during research
• Usage Data: Scan history, credit usage, and timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide Reddit research functionality within your Slack workspace
• Maintain your research history for future reference
• Track credit usage and manage workspace limits
• Improve our service and develop new features
• Provide customer support

3. Data Storage and Retention

• Research History: Stored for 1 year to enable you to reference past research
• Workspace Data: Retained as long as the app is installed in your workspace
• User Tokens: Securely encrypted and stored to enable Canvas functionality

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Reddit API: Search queries are sent to Reddit's public API to retrieve posts and comments
• Anthropic API: Research content is processed using Claude AI to generate insights
• Slack API: Results are delivered through Slack's messaging and Canvas APIs

All third-party services are bound by their own privacy policies and security practices.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• Data transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• Secure PostgreSQL database with encryption at rest
• OAuth tokens stored with encryption
• Regular security updates and monitoring

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your research history
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data by uninstalling the app or contacting us
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data

7. Data Deletion

When you uninstall Reddit Researcher from your Slack workspace:

• Your workspace installation data is immediately removed
• Research history is retained for 30 days in case of accidental uninstallation
• After 30 days, all associated data is permanently deleted

8. Children's Privacy

Reddit Researcher is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Reddit Researcher after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
